A man has been charged after an alleged incident involving a weapon.
Cops rushed to the area of Watson Street in Motherwell on Sunday evening in response to a report of a man with a bladed weapon.
There were no injuries and they are proceeding with an investigation into what happened.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 11pm on Sunday, May 1, police were called to a report of a man with a bladed weapon in the Watson Street area of Motherwell."

The force confirmed that a 26-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and was expected in court on May 3.
The spokesperson added: “No one was injured and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances”
