Singer Paul Heaton will offer free drinks at two Glasgow bars today in celebration of his 60th birthday.
In a generous gesture, the former Beautiful South vocalist has set up a tab at Nice N Sleazy and The Old Toll Bar as well as 60 other pubs across the UK encouraging punters to order a round on him.
He was inspired to do so after his original plans for birthday celebrations went awry due to recording and tour delays.

Nice N Sleazy has said that they will hand out drinks tokens until they run out with performers at tonight's acoustic night or karaoke session given two tokens each.
The Old Toll Bar said on Facebook: "Paul (The Housemartins & Beautiful South vocalist) has generously given a bar tab to get a round in for patrons that walk through the door today to raise a nationwide glass and rejoice as he turns the big 6-0.
"We could all do with a wee party/just a cheeky pint!
"Slàinte Mhaith Paul."

Speaking of his plans Paul said: "To celebrate my 60th birthday I’d originally intended to do another bicycle tour, visiting & performing at 60 pubs across the UK & Ireland.
"However, due to recording delays caused by the pandemic, I’ve had to shelve these plans for the time being.
“Instead, I’ve decided that the next best way to celebrate this coming of age is to handpick 60 pubs across the UK & Ireland and put a given amount of money behind the bar of each one.
"Then, both regulars and yourselves can enjoy a birthday drink on me (until the money runs out, or the bar runs dry!)"
