TRAFFIC heavy on a busy road near Glasgow due to a vehicle on fire.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident around 7.11am this morning on the M73 near Gartcosh.
Both lanes were closed shortly after the incident while authorities dealt with the situation.
Traffic Scotland informed motorists that the lanes are now open Southbound between junction 3 and junction 2A.
Traffic is slow on approach.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that two fire engines were at the scene, dealing with the blaze.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a vehicle on fire on the M73 southbound at around 7.20am on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
“Police assisted with traffic management and the removal of the vehicle has been arranged.”
