Charity workers are based at Glasgow Central Station today collecting donations of toiletries for those in need.

Glasgow City Mission, a local group that aims to tackle homelessness and poverty, has set up a dedicated bank just below the station's clock to gather essential items.

A list of requested products includes toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving foam, razors, shower gel, shampoo, and deodorants.

A spokesperson for the charity said: "PRACTICAL SUPPORT.

"We are holding a toiletries collection at Glasgow Central Station today from 8 am till 6 pm.

"All toiletries received will be passed to one of our guests.

"We look forward to seeing you later today!"

As hosts for today's drive, Glasgow Central Station has said that they would be 'delighted' to see people donate.
