A RAILWAY line was closed for more than two hours today due to an ongoing incident.
ScotRail has announced on Twitter that all railway lines between Springburn and Gartcosh were closed around 12.10pm due to emergency services dealing with an incident.
Services that would normally run via Cumbernauld were affected, with Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh trains running along a different route with no stops between Glasgow and Camelon.
However, ScotRail was able to run services via Cumbernauld again from around 2.35pm due to emergency services leaving the area.
No further information about the nature of the incident has been revealed at this time.
