GLASGOW City Council has confirmed that they have cleaned up the city centre after a top cop condemned litter left behind by Celtic fans.
Chief Superintendent Mark Sutherland addressed the 'unacceptable' level of littering and anti-social behaviour as fans gathered at the Glasgow Cross to celebrate their title win yesterday.
Reports on social media appear to show litter sprawled across the city's Trongate and Merchant City.
However, the council today confirmed that they were well-prepared for the situation and that their teams worked during the night to ensure the area was back to normal.

Twitter users posted photos this morning appearing to show the area had been cleared.
A council spokeswoman said: “Our cleansing staff were prepared in advance to start the clear up as soon as fans started to disperse from the Merchant City.
“Our nightshift were in place from 10pm onwards and another team is back in the area this morning to make sure things are back to normal.”
