An appeal for information has been launched following the death of a man at the M8 motorway near Glasgow this morning.
The Glasgow Times previously reported that emergency services had raced to the scene at Junction 27 Arkleston, in Paisley, in the early hours of this morning.
A 56-year-old man was found to have died suddenly at the motorway resulting in road closures as police carried out investigations.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said at the time: “The M8 at J27 westbound was closed this morning as officers dealt with the sudden death of a 56-year-old man.
"Police received the call around 4.20am on Monday, May 16, 2022.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a post mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
It has now been confirmed that officers in Paisley are appealing for the public's help to gather information following the incident.
A spokesperson said: "If anyone was on the motorway around the time of the incident, in particular, any motorists with dashcams, please contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0325 of 16 May 2022.
