OLDER adults in a Glasgow Southside neighbourhood received a visit from some furry friends to kick off Jubilee celebrations.
Glasgow’s Golden Generation (GGG) welcomed some alpacas to a day centre in Battlefield.
The well behaved and cheeky Walter and Chester visited from Larch Green Alpacas and set up camp for the afternoon in the David Cargill Day Centre in the south of the city.
The visit funded with help from Asda Toryglen, as part of their Empowering Local Communities grant.
The charity, which runs three day centres in Glasgow, has been supporting older adults since 1948.
Service users from all three centres got the chance to interact with the gentle animals, and then enjoyed a three-course celebratory lunch together along with some entertainment and cake donated by the Three Sisters Bake.
The organisation also offers befriending, welfare advice, a Careline, weekly clubs and digital help to older adults across the city.

Christine Douglas, manager at the David Cargill Day Centre, said: “We were delighted to welcome the Walter and Chester to our day centre in Battlefield this week as well as service users from our other two centres.
"Here at GGG, we pride ourselves on giving our service users fun and engaging experiences.
“Our service users, staff and volunteers had a great time at the Jubilee celebration and many of our centre attendees have been alive throughout the entirety of the Queen’s reign so were excited to celebrate the occasion in such a unique way.
“We can’t thank the staff at the Asda Foundation enough for providing our older adults with this experience.
"Their support over the years has been amazing and this time they’ve gone above and beyond."
