RUMOURS have been circulating about Johnny Depp joining friend Jeff Beck to perform at his Glasgow show today.
Depp, 58, who on Wednesday won his multimillion-dollar US defamation lawsuit against former wife Amber Heard, 36, had previously surprised audiences and fans when he joined Beck on stage in Sheffield and at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Anticipation had been building as the star was rumoured to join his "musical soulmate" for the rest of his Isolation tour, including the only Scottish date on Friday, June 3.
PR agents representing Jeff Beck have now confirmed with the Glasgow Times that the actor will perform as a special guest at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall.
Depp, who previously collaborated with Beck on the 2020 track Isolation, will also perform in Manchester, Birmingham and York.
Court reporter Chanley Shá Painter had recently confirmed Depp had "work commitments" in the UK this week, hinting at the shows.
In the tweet, he wrote: "A source close to #JohnnyDepp tells me - “Mr. Depp is in the United Kingdom, as he was a few weeks ago, to adhere to his previously scheduled work obligations. AKA @jeffbeckmusic tour."
According to Beck's official website, Johnny and Jeff are "musical soulmates", and "have been working behind-the-scenes for the past several years on new music."
Tickets for Jeff Beck's show in Glasgow are sold out, as is the rest of his UK tour.
