Reports of 'concern for a woman' on a bridge in the city's West End prompted a large emergency services response this morning.
After receiving the call at around 11:10 am police, ambulances, fire services and specialist water units raced to the scene at the River Kelvin by Queen Margaret Drive.
Following a search, the woman was found to be safe and well.
No further other action was needed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.10 am on Friday June 3, 2022, police received a report of concern for a woman seen at the River Kelvin near Queen Margaret Drive.
"Officers attended and a full search of the area was carried out. The woman was found safe and well a short time later.
"Advice and assistance were given. No further police action."
