A GLASGOW medical centre is accepting emergency appointments only today after their phone lines went down.
Crookston Medical Centre issued an important message to patients on their Facebook page that due to an IT failure, they cannot accept any calls all day.
They explained that they would be operating an emergency appointments structure and offered a temporary emergency number to contact.
They advised: "Please use this with patience and diligence."

Patients are also urged only to call for clinical issues and defer prescriptions to a later date.
Staff also expect to be extremely busy due to the ongoing problem and from taking calls through the temporary number.
Anyone requiring to make an appointment must call 07561 196718.
They added: "We sincerely apologise for this unexpected and frustrating issue and assure you we will resolve it as soon as possible."
Later, they issued an update to inform patients that the phone system was back in operation.
