COPS have taped off an area near Charing Cross train station, in Glasgow city centre, amid reports of an assault.
An eyewitness told the Glasgow Times the stairs providing access to the station from Bath Street were cordonened off with police tape and forensics were on the scene on Sunday morning.
Officers confirmed they were alerted to an assault around 3.15am on June 12.
A 33-year-old man was rushed to hospital as a result of the attack.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of an assault on Bath Street, Glasgow at around 3.15am on Sunday, 12 June, 2022.
“A 33 year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
