A man who was found unresponsive on a footpath was 80-year-old, police have revealed.
Most of Auchinairn Road was sealed off by officers today and a forensic tent was erected as police investigated the death in an area of Auchinairn which sits between Glasgow and Bishopbriggs.
They revealed that they were called to the scene just after midnight today after receiving a report that a man was unconscious on the footpath of Auchinairn Road near the junction of Woodhill Road.

Emergency services attended and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Most residents in the area spoke of their shock of waking up to a crime scene.
Earlier, one resident told The Glasgow Times: “It’s usually really quiet around here. This is quite unusual.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.20am on Monday, 13 June, 2022, police received a report of an unresponsive male on a footpath near Auchinairn Road, near the junction of Woodhill Road, Bishopbriggs.
"Emergency services attended and the 80-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained.”
