A MAN has been hospitalised with a serious head and eye injury after being attacked near a Sainsbury's store in Glasgow.
The 42-year-old was assaulted on Argyle Street near the Sainsbury's Local at the Trongate on July 2 at around 3.10pm.
He was then taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be treated for his injuries.
Cops have launched an investigation into the incident and are now trying to track down a man who was at the scene at the time of the attack.
He is described as white, around 6ft, aged 25 to 35, with dark hair and a trimmed beard.
He was wearing a dark-coloured Hugo Boss t-shirt, a grey hooded jumper, dark shorts and dark trainers.
Detective Constable Jenna Baillie said: “The area was busy around the time of this incident and I am asking anyone who saw anything to get in touch.
“I am also asking anyone who knows the man described, or the man himself, to get in touch as we believe he can help with our ongoing investigation.
“If you can assist with our enquiries then please call us on 101, quoting incident number 2153 of Saturday, July 2, 2022, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
