A CAT was left shivering after he was dumped behind a block of flats in East Kilbride.
The tabby cat was found by a member of the public behind the flats on Geddes Hill on Friday in a purple carry case which had been tied shut.
The Scottish SPCA says the cat, which has not been microchipped, appears healthy and well looked after and is now at one of their rescue centres.
They are now appealing for information.

Inspector Jack Marshall said: "The male tabby cat was found in a purple carry case by someone who lives in the flats.
"The case had been tied shut and he was shivering.
"He is not microchipped but appears healthy and well looked-after.
"He has now been taken to one of our animal rescue and rehoming centres where he’ll receive the care he needs.
"We understand that people’s circumstances can change, but this is not the correct procedure to follow if you can no longer care for an animal."
Anyone with information about this incident, or who is struggling to care for a pet and needs advice, is urged to call the SSPCA confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.
