A tribute to music legends The Beatles officially kicked off TRNSMT 2022.
The Bootleg Beatles amped up the festival atmosphere by performing the band’s biggest hits during their one-hour set on Friday.
Thousands of revellers lapped up the songs which propelled the Liverpudlian icons into the spotlight.
From Help to I Feel Fine, each cover of the hits was performed to perfection.
Described as the world’s leading tribute band, The Bootleg Beatles dabbled in all eras.
A cover of the Isley’s Brothers Twist and Shout - which The Beatles recorded in 1963 - proved to be a highlight while a costume change brought in the Abbey Road era as the four-piece rocked Come Together teasing, “It’s been a few years, have you missed us?”
Get Back entertained while Don’t Let Me Down showed off the prowess in the band’s vocals.
Looking and sounding like every inch of The Beatles legends - Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr - the band gave a masterclass in the songs which remain adored by generations of music fans.
The band’s Paul beamed: “You’ve been an amazing an audience - it’s been an honour and privilege to be here in Glasgow.”
And the privilege was all ours as they ended on a high with Hey Jude prompting a sing-a-long from the crowd.
Bootleg Beatles you’ve set the standard high.
