FESTIVAL-GOERS have hit out at TRNSMT over the length of queues to get in. 

Thousands of revellers are set to return to Glasgow Green today for day two of the sold-out festival, but some have reported long queues to get in. 

One frustrated music fan told the Glasgow Times the queues were "absolute madness" and that the line currently snakes all the way up Greendyke Street and back down Turnbull Street.

They added that organisers have started to hand out bottles of water to those waiting.

People also took to Twitter to share their frustration at the lengthy queues.

One person tweeted: "Okay @TRNSMTfest where the hell are all the stewards? 

"Worst b***** queue I've ever seen.

"People pushing and jumping over fences absolute shambles."

Another wrote: "TRNSMT queues are absolutely ridiculous.

"No stewards around, every time we move there's a huge surge forward.

"Genuinely feels unsafe, there's a serious risk of being crushed here and no one's doing anything about it."

A third person added: "Given up trying to get into TRNSMT because the queues are a mile long and not moving, no stewards - in baking hot weather and organisers told us to bring only an empty water bottle to be filled inside… marvellous."

A spokesperson for TRNSMT said: "There are currently longer than average waiting times for fans entering the festival.

"Our welfare teams are handing out water to those queuing and we're doing our best to get everyone through security and inside as quickly and safely as possible.

"We're grateful for the patience of those waiting, and ask anyone who needs assistance to get the attention of the Stewards or welfare teams."
