LINE of Duty actor Mark Bonnar has told fans he has Covid and made a special request to his fans.
The 53-year-old, who has also appeared in Guilt and Shetland, took to Twitter to reveal that he had tested positive for the virus and would not be able to celebrate with his wife, actress Lucy Gaskell, on her birthday.
He wrote: "Hello sisters and brothers. It’s my wonderful wife’s birthday today and I can’t be with her cos I’m stuck upstairs with the bloody covid!
"I would love it if you could send her some birthday wishes @RealLucyGaskell thank you xx"

A number of fans and famous faces posted their thoughtful wishes for Doctor Who star Lucy.
Gary: Tank Commander star Greg McHugh said: "Happy Birthday Lucy!!! Hope the party is in full swing now and Mark is facetime boogying on the roof like Robert the Bruce’s father in Braveheart (updated version) xx."
Gail Porter also sent birthday wishes and hoped that Mark would get well soon.
