A man was airlifted to a Glasgow hospital yesterday after his boat capsized in the River Clyde.
Close to 3:30 pm, Coastguard personnel from Greenock, Helensburgh and RNLI Helensburgh raced to respond to reports of persons in the water somewhere between Port Glasgow and Cardross.

They discovered two people who had been in the water for close to an hour before being seen by a passing train driver who stopped to help.
After they were safely removed from the river, one man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow by an emergency rescue helicopter.
The second was taken to nearby Cardross train station where he was met by Ambulance crews.

The Greenock Coastguard Rescue Team said: "Both casualties were thankfully wearing floatation aids which has kept them afloat whilst being in the water for approximately 60 minutes.
"Thanks to ScotRail & British Transport Police - Scotland for their assistance."
