GERRY Cinnamon fans have described 'insane' queues at the singer's Hampden Park gig and claimed their valid tickets wouldn't scan.

Thousands headed to the stadium on Saturday evening to watch the Castlemilk singer-songwriter perform his first of two shows this weekend.

But it appears not everybody had the experience they hoped for, as fans took to Twitter to voice their disappointment and anger after claiming being refused entry with tickets purchased through Music Glue.

They claim that as a result of having tickets refused, they had to wait in huge queues to receive replacements and miss part of the show.

One user shared a photo of a large crowd of people outside Hampden and wrote: "Sounds like @musicglue have seriously screwed up the @GerryCinnamon tickets.

"None of the tickets purchased online are working at three are insane queues son tells me to get replacements. Already missed half of it. What a joke."

Another said: "@musicglue the tickets you sent for Gerry Cinnamon tonight didn't scan and I had to queue for an hour to get replacements. Missed most of the support because of this. Absolute shambles."

One angry fan called the evening a "total fiasco", adding that they "missed the support acts, after queuing 4 times in mammoth queues because our tickets wouldn’t scan, hundreds of people were in the same boat."

Another made a desperate plea to the performer himself begging him not to start his gig, saying they were still stuck outside and their tickets were also not scanning.

They tweeted: "@gerrycinnamon Help!!! Been standing in a queue at Hampden.

"Utter chaos -music glue tickets (originals) won’t scan. No-one knows what’s going on been in Queue for well over an hour.

"Please don’t start without us from this queue!!! Never have I seen anything this before. Shambles."

A spokesperson for the event said: “There was an issue with two of the ticketing systems communicating with each other at two points last night.

"This was identified and rectified as quickly as possible, and fans are thanked for their patience during those points.

"We are working with the system operators this morning to ensure this does not happen again tonight.”
