Good Samaritans across Glasgow are supporting each other by leaving water out for dogs and other animals.
Social media posts from across the city have been popping up since yesterday, showing residents placing bowls of water on the street for pets.
They aim to help prevent dogs from dehydration and heat exhaustion as temperatures continue to soar today.
Mike McColm, from the Southside, is inviting dogs to have a drink of fresh water on Haughview Terrace.

He said: "I'm a dog owner with two Jack Russels so I'm very aware of how the heat can affect dogs.
"I try to take mine out early in the morning and later at night to avoid the hottest parts of the day but allow them to sit in the shade and splash in paddling pool during the hotter afternoon.
"I've seen a lot of dogs being walked when it's far too hot for them. You can see them struggling which is gut wrenching to see. Understandably not everyone has the time to take their dogs out at more suitable times of the day so I decided to put a bowl of fresh water in the shade outside the front of our building so that if any furry friends are walking past they can stop on our shades entrance, have a drink and time to cool off.
"It just comes from a place of pure compassion. I love all dogs, big or small and I think it would be better if more people could put bowls of water out for dogs so they can happily have a little drink when they're out on their daily adventures."
Many others have also decided to offer water to pets passing by.
Caroline Kerhachan, from Rutherglen West just outside the city, placed a 15-litre bottle of water near Wardlawhill Parish Church to give the animals refreshments in the heatwave.
She said: "I decided to do this as I've got three greyhounds of my own and they become easily exhausted after a few minutes.
"Also, this small area is walked by many who have dogs, including myself."

Warning pet owners prior to the heatwave, a Scottish SPCA spokesperson said: "With the extremely hot weather forecast for the UK in the next few days please remember to keep your animals safe.
"Make sure all animals, including any outdoor pets or farm animals, have access to ample water and shade.
"Only walk dogs early in the morning or late at night if it’s cool enough and never leave them in a hot car – they can overheat and pass away in minutes. If in any doubt, skip the walk and take part in some enrichment activities at home instead."
