FIRE services rushed to the scene of a van on fire in Glasgow after the vehicle became 'overheated'.
We previously reported that a passenger in a car on Wallace Street captured video footage of smoke engulfing the road on Tuesday afternoon.
The smoke covered the road and obscured the view of the cars.
Police confirmed that they were made aware of a vehicle fire in the area.
Fire crews later confirmed to the Glasgow Times that they had responded to a call where a van had overheated.
There were no reports of injuries.
It comes as Glasgow reached temperatures of 30 degrees on Tuesday, with even higher temperatures elsewhere in the UK.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 2.35pm on Tuesday, July 19 to reports of a vehicle fire on Wallace Street, Glasgow.
"Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene, where a van had overheated.
"There were no reported casualties."
