Police have provided an update on claims an attempted abduction of a child took place in Elderslie.
The force investigated after rumours circulated that a bid to snatch the child from the playpark happened in Lomond Gardens yesterday.
Officers say it did not happen.

A spokesperson said: "We are aware of rumours circulating regarding the attempted abduction of a child from within a play park at Lomond Gardens, Elderslie on Thursday, July 21.
"Officers have carried out enquiries and have established no attempted abduction took place.
"If anyone has any concerns, they should contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak with your local officers."
