THE head chef of a city centre restaurant says he is "ecstatic" to have been crowned winner of Come Dine With Me - The Professionals.
Bloc+'s Andy Neilson appeared on Friday's episode of the Channel 4 show alongside hostess Pixie Brady.
The pair beat competition from fellow Bath Street restaurant Maki and Ramen and Amore D'Italia in Dennistoun with their unusual menu of plant-based wings made using jack fruit, a ramen noodle hot dog and deep-fried sticky toffee pudding.

Chef Andy says it was "amazing" to win their episode of the show and he has already watched it about three times.
He said: "Myself and Pixie are ecstatic about winning and how it all turned out.
"We both went in with the mindset that we were on the show to have a good time and to enjoy ourselves with no expectations of winning, so the final result was a huge shock.
"The feedback we have both had online has been amazing and my phone has been going crazy since last night with well-wishers."

Andy continued: "I feel that the menu and the overall experience we provided for the other competitors showcased exactly what Bloc+ is all about.
"We're a very laid back bar in Glasgow that does food that's not for everybody, it's unique, weird food that looks a bit mental and could be a bit off-putting but it really is tasty.
"Our food is extremely different from the normal, but normal is boring and for any doubters, all I can say is come down to Bloc+ and try it for yourself."
On Tuesday's episode, city centre restaurant Red Onion came first place after competing against Saffron and Calabash.
