A woman who was allegedly unconscious when a fire engulfed a flat which housed a girl has a warrant out for her arrest.
Karen McAslen, 45, is said to have wilfully neglected the nine-year-old in her care at her home in Glasgow’s Gallowgate on April 21, last year.
Court papers state the girl was exposed in a manner which would cause her unnecessary suffering or injury to her health.

The charge claims that McAslen was unconscious as a result of being intoxicated.
It is stated that she was unable to respond to a fire which had taken effect in the flat while the girl was in the flat.
Allegations say that the girl was placed in danger.
McAslen failed to appear at a hearing today to answer the single charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
A warrant was granted for her arrest by Sheriff Anthony Deutsch.
