TWO River City stars have been pictured with Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Stephen Purdon and Jordan Young were photographed with the Rangers boss alongside wrestler and Scot Squad actor Grado. 

Stephen shared the picture on Twitter with the caption: "Pleasure to meet the gaffer tonight."

The photo was taken at the City Chambers last night where Rangers Football Club was honoured with a Civic Reception from Lord Provost Jacqueline McLaren in recognition of the club's contribution to the city over the last 150 years.  

Stephen has been a Rangers supporter for most of his life and in 2019 starred in Rally Roon the Rangers at the Pavillion Theatre. 

Speaking to the Glasgow Times ahead of the play, he said: "I have been going to Ibrox since I was eight or nine.

"My dad was a mad Rangers fan and he went to games everywhere.

"I have my own season ticket and the club is a very important thing in my life.

"I love Rangers and my wife kind of moans about it a lot because I am always planning my calendar around football games."
