Strathaven Balloon Festival will go ahead at the end of the month and locals can enjoy the fun for free.
The event will be held from Friday, August 26 to Sunday, August 28 at Strathaven Park, a range of entertainment will be available for visitors to enjoy on the Saturday and Sunday, including music, dancers, birds of prey, a fun fair and a range of stalls.

Hot air balloons are set to arrive on the Friday of the festival, and weather permitting, there will be balloon flights after 6pm.
There will also be balloon launches on the Saturday and Sunday around 6.30am and just after 6pm (weather permitting).
The Sky Masters from Skydive Strathallan will be at the park on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm to skydive and show off their skills.

On the Saturday evening, the ‘Evening Glow’ will begin where spectators will be able to see colourful balloons light up in the backdrop of the night sky.
Raffle tickets will be available and prizes include a chance to fly in a hot air balloon.
The Strathaven Balloon festival began in 1999 and now attracts over 30,000 visitors over the weekend of events. The festival is funded by donations and sponsorships.
