A PROBE has been set into the prison death of a convicted murderer.
John Wilson died in HMP Low Moss in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire in February 2021.
The 55-year-old was found guilty of gunning down Stephen Barnes in 1990 after a row at a pub in Glasgow's Shettleston.
The 23 year-old victim had been waiting for a bus home when he was struck by a single shot.

The circumstances of Wilson's death behind bars will be the subject of a Fatal Accident Inquiry at Glasgow Sheriff Court in December this year.
A preliminary hearing will take place before then in September.
It is not known how long the probe - which is mandatory when there is a death in custody - will last.
