A HUNT has been launched for a pair of men in balaclavas trying to rob people in the West End.
The men rode around on a motorbike in the Woodlands area of Glasgow on Saturday evening in an attempt to swipe handbags and mobile phones from unwitting pedestrians.
The attempted thefts occurred between 9pm and 10.30pm.
As well as wearing balaclavas, they wore hoodies.
Neither was wearing a helmet.
The motorbike is described as being of an older style, possibly a moped, with no registration number.
Cops are probing the incident and are urging any witnesses or people with CCTV footage to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Laura Roberts said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen these men or who may have witnessed any of the incidents.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage.
“Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 4288 of August 6.
“Alternatively, a call can be made anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
