The Eurovision Song Contest could be coming to Glasgow, with the city now FAVOURITE to host the competition.
The 2022 edition of the pan-continental singing spectacular was won by Ukraine and under ordinary circumstances the next edition would be held there.
However, due to the ongoing war with Russia it has been decided that the 67th edition of the competition will not be able to go ahead in the Eastern European country.
With the U.K finishing as runner-up the competition will instead be held in the British Isles, with Glasgow in the running to host.
A decision is yet to be made on where Eurovision will be held but Scotland's largest city is now favourite to welcome the rest of the continent.
Having started out as favourite, Glasgow was surpassed last week by Birmingham which is currently hosting the Commonwealth Games.
But a flurry of bets has seen the roles reversed, with Clydeside now 6/4 favourite to play host according to BoyleSports.
Manchester and Liverpool have drifted in the odds, out to 50/1 and 6/1 respectively but there has been a tightening when it comes to Belfast and Newcastle.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “The search is now under way for a host city for the Eurovision next year after this year’s runners-up were given the nod to step. Glasgow has returned to the top of the betting at 6/4 from 9/4 following strong backing.

"Birmingham was backed into 6/5 from 8/1 last week but has been eased out to 3/1 with support coming for the Scottish city now instead.
"Newcastle is also on the move into 16/1 from 33/1 so there have been plenty of changes.”
The 2023 edition will be the ninth to be held in the U.K, with Eurovision coming to these shores more than any other nation.
The contest has never been held in Glasgow, and has been staged in Scotland just once when Edinburgh hosted in 1972.
