A man was rushed to hospital following a 'serious assault' in Glasgow city centre last night.
Police attended the scene of the attack on Renfield Street at around 7:45 pm where a man was found to have sustained an injury to his head.
The 33-year-old was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for urgent treatment.
Officers proceeded to tape off a section of the street and remained there until later that night as investigations were carried out.
There has been no further information provided about the man's condition at this time although cops have said that their enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a serious assault on Renfield Street, Glasgow at around 7.45 pm on Sunday, August 14, 2022.
“A 33-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with a head injury.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
