A MAJOR road in Glasgow's East End is due to close for resurfacing works.
Baillieston Road, between Barrachnie Road/Mount Vernon Avenue Junction and Carrick Drive, will be closed to all traffic for five days.
The stretch of road will be shut between 8am on Monday, August 22, and 6pm on Friday, August 26.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area during this period.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Diversions will be in place: westbound via Barrachnie Road, Edinburgh Road and Hallhill Road, and eastbound via Hallhill Road, Edinburgh Road, Barrachnie Road.
