Police officers from North Glasgow said they are 'saddened' by an act of vandalism.
The force published a picture of trees being knocked down on Twitter, as they asked the public for their help.
They did not clarify when the incident took place. In the picture, the freshly planted greenery is seen lying on St Rollox Drive in the city's Sighthill.
