A Rangers fan lashed out at police during the city centre title party.
Bryan Morrison, 35, repeatedly punched and kicked officers' shields in Queen Street on May 15, last year.
The offshore worker, of the city's Knightswood, also tried to grab the shields and gestured aggressively.
Thousands of jubilant Gers fans gathered in the city's George Square earlier that day to celebrate the club's first Scottish Premiership win in a decade.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard Morrison remained in the square at 10.55pm as an "escalating situation" took place.
Prosecutor Mark Allan stated that Morrison returned to the public order officer cordon three times in eight minutes.
Mr Allan added: "He repeatedly punched and kicked the shields and at another point attempted to seize hold of the shields and thereafter thwart the efforts of the officers."
The hearing was told that the crowd was eventually dispersed and CCTV was later used to trace Morrison.
Officers initially attended his home but he was not available due to his line of work.
He later handed himself in.
Morrison, who has previous convictions, pleaded guilty today to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
Marisa Borland, defending, told the court: "He provided his details to police at the time - that's how intoxicated he was.
"He gave his details to police and then he went home.
"He does work offshore and is working from later in August until September."
Sentence was deferred pending background reports until October by Sheriff Joan Kerr who continued Morrison's bail meantime.
