Police officers in Glasgow released images of two men they believe could assist them following a serious assault in the city centre.

The incident took place on Garnet Street around 1.55am on Tuesday.

Officers are appealing to the men or anyone who knows them to get in touch.

The first male is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall with short dark hair. He was wearing a blue North Face jacket and black trousers.

The second is described as white, around 6ft tall, dirty blonde hair and a beard, which was short at the sides and long in the middle. He was wearing glasses and dark-coloured clothing.

Detective Constable Larissa Cooper of City Centre Police Station said: “I would urge the men pictured, or anyone who has information relating to them, to make contact with the police.

“If you have any information that can assist with our investigation then please call 101, quoting reference number 0226 of April 12, 2022.

“Alternatively, make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
