A PRISONER who died in Barlinnie was convicted of sexually assaulting a woman as she slept.
We earlier reported that an investigation was underway following the death of 59-year-old Alexander Jamieson at the Riddrie prison on August 21.
He had been convicted of separate charges of sexual assault and assault at Glasgow Sheriff Court in 2021.
The court heard that on November 29, 2018, pervert Jamieson filmed himself committing a brutal sex act on a woman.
He had encouraged her to take epilepsy drugs that resulted in her falling "into a deep sleep".

After sending the horrific clip to the victim, she asked him to delete it but Jamieson replied: "F*** off, it's my video and I'm keeping it."
He also stated in evidence that he took the recording "for a laugh".
Jurors also heard that Jamieson was physically violent towards the woman on numerous occasions between July 2017 and December 2018.
This included grabbing her by the hair, pushing her to the floor and lying on her causing her to feel pain in her ribs and struggling to breathe.
In another incident, Jamieson grabbed her by the hair again and put her face against a cooker, before biting her face.

The prosecutor told the court that the victim was "terrified" that Jamieson was going to turn the cooker on.
Jamieson, of Moodiesburn, had previous convictions including a High Court assault to injury offence from 1997.
The Scottish Prison Service confirmed that a Fatal Accident Inquiry into Jamieson's death would be underway in due course.
