AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a motorcyclist was left with serious injuries following a crash in Airdrie.
Around 9.55pm on Friday, 26 August, on Woodhall Street, at the junction with Kennelburn Road, a white Ford Fiesta was involved with a collision with a black Talaria Sting electric off road motorbike.
The biker, a 25-year old man, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car was not injured.
The road was closed for around four and a half hours to allow road collision investigation work to take place.
Road policing officer Brian Fowler said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstance and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen what happened to get in touch.
“In particular if you have dash-cam or private CCTV footage that could assist with our investigation then please contact us.”
