SIR Rod Stewart has shared a special message to fans from his 'favourite city' ahead of his two gigs in Glasgow.

The 77-year-old is set to perform all his familiar hits and new material from his 31st studio album The Tears of Hercules at his upcoming OVO Hydro gigs on November 29 and December 3. 

Before taking to the stage later this year, Rod recorded a message to his Glaswegian fans to say that he can't wait for the shows.

He revealed that Glasgow is his favourite city and promised them that they will have fun at the 'incredible' shows. 

In a video clip, he said: "Glasgow, my favourite city! Sir Rod Stewart here bringing my tour to Glasgow this November and December for two incredible nights. I can't wait to see you there. 

"Grab your tickets and we'll have some fun." 

The singer has made no secret of his love for the city, regularly attending football games at Celtic Park.

He was also recently spotted helping staff at a Glasgow bar.
