MARTIN Compston has shared an unexpected update after confessing that he refuses to treat an ongoing medical condition.
The 38-year-old actor recently opened up about being diagnosed with astigmatism, which causes blurred vision.
But despite this, the Line of Duty star insisted that he would not get glasses to treat the problem as he feels it would bring him one step closer to being middle-aged.

Now in a bizarre U-turn, Compston has shared a selfie to his Instagram followers wearing glasses.
He also posted a short video clip of his appointment with the optician, which he called 'heartbreaking'.
The Greenock-born actor previously admitted that his condition means he cannot read road signs or see subtitles on a television.
