A GROUP of hillwalkers raising money for charity got a surprise when they were joined by singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini.
Dedicated fundraisers are embarking on the West Highland Way in aid of the Catherine McEwan Foundation.
The team were delighted when, 30 miles into the journey, the Paisley-born Pencil Full of Lead singer appeared to show his support and "cheer" them up.
Sharing the encounter on social media, the team wrote: "First day for our "West Highland Ravers" complete!
'A tough 30 miles under their belts. Incredible efforts all round topped off by the Legend, Paolo Nutini cheering us on up the Conic!
"As always thanks for the donations! You are all making a huge difference to our patients and families battling Crohn's & Colitis."
