Singer Lewis Capaldi has responded to fans claiming he looks like Liz Truss.

The Scottish star took to Twitter to joke about resembling the UK's next Prime Minister.

Responding to a user sharing a picture of the politician, he said: "Why do I look like so many female politicians?"

People were quick to reply, with one person saying: "Thanks Lewis, I can't unsee this, now. Haha. You're much cuter!"

Another added: "And yet you’d be a better politician than any of them."
