Liz Truss has become Prime Minister after she travelled to Balmoral to meet the Queen today.
Truss arrived at Balmoral in Aberdeenshire around 12.20 pm, to be invited to form a government, after Boris Johnson had left following his meeting with the Queen, where he officially resigned as Prime Minister.
Truss was confirmed as the new Conservative leader yesterday beating Rishi Sunak by 57.4% to 42.6%.
Truss becomes the 15th Prime Minister of the Queen's reign, since Winston Churchill in 1952.

Truss won the support of just over 81, 326 Tory members to Sunak’s 60,399.
She will travel back to London to make a speech at Downing Street this afternoon.
In the coming days, the new Prime Minister is expected to announce plans for a freeze in energy bills which could cost around £100 billion.
Johnson said he will be supporting Truss as Prime Minister and urged his party and the country to do the same.
Mr Johnson said: "I will be offering this Government nothing but my most fervent support.”
He added: "I say to my fellow Conservatives, it's time for politics to be over, folks.
"It's time for us all to get behind Liz Truss and her team and her programme, and deliver for the people of this country.
"Because that is what the people of this country want. That's what they need.
"And that's what they deserve."
Truss will now assemble her Cabinet and ministerial team.
Top jobs are expected for allies Kwasi Kwarteng and Suella Braverman.
