A Glasgow candle maker is closing her shop as a result of the cost of living crisis.
The Atelier Candle Company announced the news about the closure on Facebook, explaining that the cost of materials has increased so much that the business is no longer making profit.
In the post, the owner added: "I started ACC with the ethos that I wanted to make quality, sustainably sourced products whilst keeping it at an affordable price for my customers.
"As I am unwilling to raise my prices any higher than they currently are, this means that I am now running at a loss, barely breaking even month to month.
"It just does not seem viable to keep this going is a sustainable way, without adopting the capitalist mindset that I set out to avoid."
