THE sheriff and high courts in Glasgow will be closed today following The Queen's death.
The news of her death was confirmed on Thursday evening after members of the royal family travelled to Balmoral, where the Queen was laying in rest.
A statement from Buckingham Palace read: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
"The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow."

Following the announcement, Scottish Courts and Tribunals stated that all courts and tribunals will be adjourned today as a mark of respect.
The majority of court and tribunal business is expected to continue from Monday.
A statement online read: "It is with great sadness that we have learned tonight of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
"Along with the nation, we mourn the loss of our Monarch and, as a mark of respect, all courts and tribunals in Scotland will be adjourned on Friday, September 9, following the conclusion of any essential business.
"Flags will be lowered at Scottish Courts and Tribunals buildings and the Lord President has sent condolences to the Royal Family on behalf of the judiciary in Scotland.
"From Monday, September 12 the majority of court and tribunal business will continue during the period of mourning."
Updates on any changes to scheduled business and operations during the mourning period will be published on the Scottish Courts and Tribunals website HERE.
