A CITY centre supermarket has been closed.
The Co-op branch located on Union Street near Glasgow Central Station is now permanently closed.
A sign in the window states the shop was shutting its doors for the last time today (September 10).
Pictures show the store completely empty of food though fixtures currently remain in place.
It is not known why the store has been closed, but our sister title The Herald previously reported the Co-op Group is to axe around 400 jobs as the retail and funeral firm blamed tough trading conditions amid "rising inflation".
Co-op has been contacted for comment.
