A haul of dogs and puppies were found in a vehicle when police were called to a 'disturbance'.
Reports on social media claimed that a dog was almost snatched from its owner while walking in the Seafar area of Cumbernauld recently.
A car was said to have approached the owner and a man got out, leaned over to clap the dog and unclipped the lead in an attempt to take it before it managed to escape.
