A WOMAN has been arrested after a city bank was smashed up.
Images taken from the scene show the windows of the HSBC branch on Glasgow's Buchanan Street shattered.
An eyewitness claimed it looked like the windows had been 'smashed in dozens of times'.
Officers were guarding the area on Wednesday evening.
The force confirmed that they were called to the alleged incident and that they have arrested and charged a 37-year-old woman in connection.
She is due to appear in court today.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 21, we were called to a report of vandalism at a business premises in Buchanan Street, Glasgow.
“Officers attended and a 37-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"She is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, September 22, 2022.”
