A MAN has been arrested in connection with the assault of a police officer.
Cops confirmed an officer was assaulted while he was carrying out enquiries at a property in Wyndford Drive at around 7.30am this morning.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The officer has been treated for minor injuries at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
An investigation is underway but police say the incident is isolated and there is no threat to the public.
Superintendent Ross Allan, of Greater Glasgow Division, said: "A police officer was assaulted while carrying out enquiries at a property in the Wyndford Drive area of Glasgow around 7.30am on Friday, September 23, 2022.
"The officer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
"A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
"This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider community."
