The team behind an award-winning Glasgow kebab house has announced a new venture this week.
The Glasgow Times previously reported that Shawarma King had secured the prestigious title of the Best Kebab House in Scotland in March of this year.
Priding themselves on fresh ingredients and making everything from naan breads to sauces from scratch every day, the King Street spot was a firm favourite amongst the city's foodies long before receiving national recognition.
Now, Shawarma King has taken over a second location at the former Elite Shisha Lounge in Govan which has been renamed the King's Lounge Glasgow.
In an Instagram post owners said: "Under new ownership from the team behind @shawarma_king_glasgow we are working very hard to bring our customers top levels of service, shisha and food and drinks.
"We are so excited for the future and can’t wait to bring our vision to life."
The team has also said that they are currently refurbishing the kitchen at 232 Pailey Road to create a new Shawarma King restaurant within the premises.
Until then, the King's Lounge will be open from 2pm until late seven days a week serving mocktails and desserts.
