The Queen’s cause of death was old age, her death certificate has revealed.
The document, published by National Records of Scotland on Thursday, records that the late monarch died at 3.10pm on September 8 at Balmoral Castle in Ballater.
The document is signed by the Princess Royal.
Queen Elizabeth died, aged 96, at Balmoral surrounded by members of the royal family earlier this month.
News of her death was announced in a statement on behalf of the Royal Family.
The statement read: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
"The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow."
